Large-Scale Art and Installations
photo: Jess Hobbs 2009
Dreaming and building in large scale requires belief, experiment, and strategy. It makes a real-time and real-space relationship between the makers, the art, and its visitors. The installations featured here range from 17 to 100 feet; the smallest are solo works and the largest are by correspondingly larger groups.
Being near a work of art larger than yourself can be intoxicating: it creates a place, surrounding you with its story.
